Q: I’m already a member of an online University. Why would I pay for more training?
A: Online E-commerce Universities are designed with one purpose: Get your money. They charge outrageous prices for their training, charge you insane prices for web development, then sell your information to marketing companies who sell you more junk.
Q: If you know how to do eCommerce so well, why are you training others instead of selling online yourself?
A: I got into this industry as a service provider. I also operate a successful online business but worked with so many people who are getting ripped off, I felt that this club was the best way to empower people without charging an arm and a leg.
Q: I saw that 2 blogs were included with membership. What if I don’t have a blog?
A: Blogging can be a hugely effective way to increase your site’s visibility in search results and spread your company’s message. If you don’t have one, we can discuss your options for starting one during our free trial session.
Q: What topics are covered during the training sessions?
A: We typically start with a general overview of the business and site. We will discuss the areas that need the most improvement and follow a logical order. Your trainer is capable of directing the training where it will be of the greatest benefit or the club member can ask for assistance with an area they like. Examples include: Product Sourcing, Platform Selection, Market Research, Branding, Social Media Creation/ Management, Blogging, Site Design, Product Uploads, SEO, Meta Tags, Payment Systems, Viral Marketing.
Q: I’ve been scammed by another company. Can you help me get my money back?
A: Probably not. We can give you some advice on how to increase your chances of a partial refund but from what I’ve seen, it’s not likely. Many service providers in this industry rely on ripping people off and have iron clad contracts that prevent refunds when you figure out their scam. We do provide an outlet for eCommerce Scam Reporting that allows members to know what companies are ripping people off. Anyone can report but the info is a benefit of membership.
Q: I need professional help with some things on my site. Can I hire you?
A: No. The entire point of how the ECommerce Advice Club is set up is to ensure that I’m giving the best advice; not selling something. If you need work done, I can recommend companies I’ve dealt with that do good work.
